The Toaster

I know many of you were at womens ministry when I spoke about the toaster, but at the time I didnt have a toaster to use for my illustration so I used a really nice silver serving platter but today I was blessed by my walking buddy, Maria Sanchez, she found me a stainless steel toaster! She told me she would keep an eye out for a good one and she did! Thanks Maria!
Now whats the story of the toaster?? okay, you know how God can gives a message in anything right? well I'm visual and he had someone tell me a story and it went like this...

A lady and her husband were fighting, the conversation got heated. Eventually they became more angry, after arguing for awhile the husband left the house and she turned to the son who was in the house throughout the whole argument...She said,"Your dad, is a monster, I can't stand him...blah blah blah...
The son just standing there listening to his mom bash his dad to pieces, slowly turned to the kitchen counter and grabbed the toaster...the mother still ranting on and on about the dad, turned toward her son just when the toaster was in front of her face...her son said, "Mom, Who's the Monster?" In the toaster she saw her face, full of anger and ugliness!

She was the Monster! Wow, is that how she looked when she was full of anger?, how awful, she thought.

In my message I shared and asked all the ladies to pass around this "toaster" and make the ugliest face that they thought represented themselves when they are angry. It was an eye opener for many..

James 4:11-12
Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

Psalms 34:11-14
Come, my children, and listen to me,
and I will teach you to fear the Lord.
Does anyone want to live a life
that is long and prosperous?
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies!
Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

I pray the next time you are about to argue or fight that your remember the "toaster"...be blessed as we learn to be more like Jesus..

A note I wrote in church one day..

Have you ever cried & tasted my presence?
Felt my arms embracing you while you worship?
Your troubles seem so BIG to you
But they are so little to me

So little that I can take care of each one of
your troubles at the same time...
Count your heads...count your problems...
How many problems do you think that is?
A large amount of problems but yet still
it is NOTHING to me...
I handle so much more in seconds of the day,
Yet you hold onto your problems so long
before you give them to me
I love to see you praise me & worship me
My hands are open to you my child
Give me the problems & Give me the praise!

(I wrote this down one day in church.. I know it was between 2000-2004, however I didnt write the date..bummer!)

Thank you Lord for the people you place in my life

Christina & I in high school, Ive treasured this picture for such a time as this! I wanted to thank God for placing Christina in my life. We were the best of friends in high school. I remember having such a love for this girl, like a sister! We did alot together. We had lots of fun times! Life took us seperate ways however 1 1/2 yrs ago (idk) i asked a friend to find this friend of mine on myspace. She messaged Christina now going by the name of Auti Angel and the second I spoke with her I knew that God was going to use us to do something spectacular for his Glory! Even though she is now paralyzed from the waist down, I was more blessed to know that she was serving God and ministering to people by sharing her testimony and that she has a non profit organization called Save A Soul Foundation where they minister to at risk youth. Tonite she was able to come to our church and minister to our womens ministry..How awesome is God?
I guess what I want to share is that I will never take for granted the people God brings into my life..and I pray you do the same. If God says find them...find them! If God says invite them...invite them! If God says pray for them, pray! Be obedient and Let God! He has a plan for us all!

"Ain't no mountain high enough"

It was February 15, 2000, when my husband and I got up early to do this bike ride adventure on our honeymoon in Maui. Our tour began with a very early hotel pickup and a van tour to the summit of Haleakala. Upon arrival at the summit we were escorted by our GUIDE to the crater rim, to view the spectacular sunrise. Even though our GUIDE prepared us by telling us prior to our trip to dress in layers, it was a great moment for us newlyweds to cuddle nice and close to stay warm because it was FREEZING! At 6,700 foot level our GUIDE fitted us to our bicycles, and gave us yellow rain jackets and pants for more warmth. Shortly after telling us the rules, our GUIDE led us down our 28 mile ride down the slopes and turns of Haleakala!! (Weeeee!) I loved it of course and I was right in front with our GUIDE. Marty being the “cautious one” was cruising rather carefully behind me. The ride was scary at moments, for example you don’t ever want to apply only your front brakes, you might just tip over and hurt yourself pretty bad! Our GUIDE picked a breakfast stop for us half way through and we had belgian waffles with strawberries, whipped cream and a view of a beautiful garden. After breakfast we finished our ride through the sugar cane and pineapple fields and ended at the beach!
How awesome it was!
So why do I share this story with you??
To encourage you to see that sometimes we have to face and climb mountains in life that are scary but I encourage you to remember this scripture when you feel like giving up.

Psalms 121 (NLT)
I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD
who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.
The LORD himself watches over you!
The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day
nor the moon at night.
The LORD keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

I know I wouldn’t have done this ride of Haleakala without a “GUIDE” so that leads me to the reason of this story…what really makes you think you want to go thru LIFE without a GUIDE? JESUS! If you’re facing a mountain (divorce, drug addiction, trouble at work, having a hard time with a child) try taking your focus off the mountain and place your focus in your GUIDE.

I pray this short story touches your heart and leads you to your FREE GUIDE in life…Jesus Christ, Amen.

Restoration Ranch

Looking for somewhere to be restored?
We have the perfect location! It's called Restoration Ranch!

Located near the Temecula valley, this 2 1/2 acre property
is the perfect place for a small retreat.

It has been used by a boys church group "Royal Rangers" for a camp out,
a Womens Retreat and Mom & daughter purity getaway.

Truly a blessing from God that we're able to enjoy all the seasons.

About Kimmy G

My love for the Lord has been since a child. I was 5 years old when my grandmother first took me to the church I still attend today, Harbor Christian Center Church. Hearing my mom and grandmother singing praises to our all mighty God after church and revival meetings placed in me a desire I always yearn for. I'm married to a wonderful man, who loves the Lord with all his heart and together we love to work at our Ranch, "Restoration Ranch" and enjoy using it for God's Kingdom.

My desire is to encourage young girls and women to love themselves through the peer pressure times, as well as all the life trials as an adult woman. Following the call of God on my life, I'm currently hosting a LIVE bible study on MomTV.com "That's Life By KimmyG" .

With my passion to serve God, I'd love any opportunity to speak life and encouragement into women of all ages. If you're looking for a speaker for your next event I'd be more than happy to talk to you! Please feel free to contact me.
Always remember, that when we go thru "life's" trials
it should be pushing us to get closer to God!
