Love today..don't wait for tomorrow!

As February is just one day away, I'm already feeling the LOVE...are you? Yes, I guess I'm a little bias for the month of February since my anniversary and my first grandson's birthday are both on the 12th! To be honest with you I'm not a mushy type of girl, I don't really care about the chocolates and roses. But I love to know I'm LOVED! Everyone does right?

That's why I loved something I read today in the bible, Psalm 86.

Bend an ear, God; answer me. I'm one miserable wretch!

Keep me safe—haven't I lived a good life?

Help your servant—I'm depending on you!

You're my God; have mercy on me.

I count on you from morning to night.

Give your servant a happy life;

I put myself in your hands!

You're well-known as good and forgiving,

bighearted to all who ask for help.

Pay attention, God, to my prayer;

bend down and listen to my cry for help.

Every time I'm in trouble I call on you,

confident that you'll answer.
There's no one quite like you among the gods, O Lord,

and nothing to compare with your works.

All the nations you made are on their way,

ready to give honor to you, O Lord,

Ready to put your beauty on display,

parading your greatness,

And the great things you do—

God, you're the one, there's no one but you!

Train me, God, to walk straight;

then I'll follow your true path.

Put me together, one heart and mind;

then, undivided, I'll worship in joyful fear.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you, dear Lord;

I've never kept secret what you're up to.

You've always been great toward me—what love!

You snatched me from the brink of disaster!

God, these bullies have reared their heads!

A gang of thugs is after me—

and they don't care a thing about you.

But you, O God, are both tender and kind,

not easily angered, immense in love,

and you never, never quit.

So look me in the eye and show kindness,

give your servant the strength to go on,

save your dear, dear child!

Make a show of how much you love me

so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed,

As you, God, gently and powerfully

put me back on my feet.

I loved it...He LOVES us, He truly LOVES us! We serve a God that has the biggest heart ever! So why wouldn't I be excited about today and even more so tomorrow and the days to come? He LOVES me! He LOVES you!

Celebrate LOVE today, dont wait for tomorrow...

Out To the Deep

(photo taken by my friend Kristin Baldonado)

In some of my reading this morning I read Luke 5, and the Lord showed me something I'd like to share with you all...

Luke Chapter 5:1-3Once when he was standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret, the crowd was pushing in on him to better hear the Word of God. He noticed two boats tied up. The fishermen had just left them and were out scrubbing their nets. He climbed into the boat that was Simon's and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Sitting there, using the boat for a pulpit, he taught the crowd. 4When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch." 5-7Simon said, "Master, we've been fishing hard all night and haven't caught even a minnow. But if you say so, I'll let out the nets." It was no sooner said than done—a huge haul of fish, straining the nets past capacity. They waved to their partners in the other boat to come help them. They filled both boats, nearly swamping them with the catch.

If you notice in verse 5 Simon said, "Master, we've been fishing hard all night and haven't caught even a minnow."

That's exactly how we are sometimes...examples:
1) Lord, I've been doing what you ask me to do, I cant do it anymore!
2) Aww man, why do I have to do that?
3) Why dont you ask someone else?
4) I'm tired, Lord...

and you see where I'm going right?

Simon started to complain but then he said, "But if you say so, I'll let out the nets."

The next part is my favorite!

The bible says that... It was no sooner said than done—a huge haul of fish, straining the nets past capacity. They waved to their partners in the other boat to come help them. They filled both boats, nearly swamping them with the catch.

I believe that God is saying to us today, Go out to the Deep! Trust Him!

Don't bother hesitating because all your doing is prolonging all that He has for you!

Maybe it's not a huge haul of fish, maybe it's not even the California Lottery! But only you and God know what is truly your hearts desire, and in Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

The word delight means: to take great pleasure

It is a great pleasure to serve our God, so if He asks you to be extra nice to your husband today, DO IT!
If He wants you to stop and give to the homeless, DO IT!

GO OUT TO THE DEEP WITH HIM!

Time to Change Pots

The other day while doing the dishes I glanced over at this plant that I've had for atleast 13 years! It stirred something up in my spirit..."I could be like this plant if I don't watch it!"

Yes, this plant has been fine in this pot, but it can also die if I dont take care of it...
A couple ways to do this is to remove any dead or defective branches and leaves and water the pot thoroughly but if you really want to see growth..replant it in a larger pot!

That's how it is for us christians, we have to keep growing and sometimes we need to reposition ourselves so that we can grow! Rethink things, do things in a different way. So what will you do, will you stay in the same pot? or reposition into a larger pot? I pray the later! Just a thought...
